CONGRATULATIONS HRO-Pakistan on Successful 1st Year!

On September 14th 2006, HRO-Pakistan was incorporated with the SEC of Pakistan as a Non-Profit Organization with a mission to provide food, healthcare, housing for orphans, widows, and vulnerable communities especially affected by earthquakes.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary, numerous HRO-Pakistan volunteers gathered on September 14th, 2007 to partake in food, cold drinks and cake!

The celebration included words of encouragement and prayer as well as a recap of the first year accomplishments:

HRO Vocational Centre in Dhirkot

HRO Al-wahid Public School in Rojhan

Free Medical Camps

Assisted students with tuition

Directors Shaista Mushtaq & Dr. Ahmed Ali attended 3-day Training Workshop

Secured Offices in Capital City Islamabad

and many others!

Pastor Keith Talkington expressed, “HRO-Pakistan has done a lot for the poor and needy people affected by natural disasters and has stared many projects which are benefiting…poor communities in areas which are hard to reach for other NGOs.  It is the result of tireless, continuous efforts of all volunteers…that has enabled HRO-Pakistan to celebrate its first anniversary at its own office…”

Olga Crupper to be honored at A.W.E.C.

AWEC/ALLIANCE will recognize individuals who, “Against All Odds”, have unselfishly given of themselves to help and inspire others.

With “Against All Odds” as its theme, the African Women Econimic Consortium is bringing together dignitaries from different fields; education, medicine, community activists, politics, distinguished members of the clergy, written media, entertainment and science on Saturday September 22, 2007 at the University of Phoenix, Troy Campus.  These local, national and international diginitaries are some of the finest in their fields.  In a world that glorifies persons who gain notoriety for engaging in trivial pursuits, AWEC is honoring those who have gone beyond their humaness and have entered the unlimited realm of the spirit achieved outstanding milestones and overcome obstacles.  They motivtae and inspire others to lose fear of opposition and limitation to achieve.  These are our heroes.  These are people who have pursued their dreams.

According to the founder and CEO of the organization, Dr. Uwa Onyioha-Osimiri,

our theme “Working Miracles in the Midst of Challenge”, reflects that they saw challenges not as a reason to quit, but as reasons to forge other paths that have lead to their desired goals.

There shall be several speakers at the event.  The Keynote Speaker is the Honorable Jean Augustine, former Minister of State & Member of the Canadian Parliament (MP).  She will share her remarkable journey to becoming the first Black woman elected to the Parliament of Canada.  The other speakers and award recipients are, Daedra McGhee, Director of Government & Business Affairs for South Eastern Michigan, Office of the Governor, State of Michigan, Olga Crupper, Vice-President iEnergy, Alternative Global Energy, Bishop Corletta Vaughn of Go Tell It Evangelistic Ministries.

The mission of AWEC/ALLIANCE, a Michigan 501(c)3 non-profit and IRS recognized charity organization, is to collaborate with different global organizations, to promote interantional work which uplifts women and children.
