Spirit Rising

Published by Admin under HRO Main Blog

Spirit Rising is operated from the Mattaponi Indian Reservation located in the Tidewater Area. The reservation is one of the oldest in our country near Williamsburg and Richmond. For the past 18 years Spirit Rising have been helping the Native People and Families in Virginia, South Dakota, Arizonia, and Nebraska.

After becoming aware of the basic needs of their people , they were confronted with the fact that they could not do it all. They set up an organization with the Guidance from the Creator and help from many good-hearted people.  As a result of their efforts, they were able to help with food, clothing, furniture, counseling, dentistry, eyeglasses, utilities, and advocacy for their families suffering from domestic violence.

Spirit Rising has helped to establish the Mattaponi Healing Eagle Clinic.
