For Kenya’s Kids
For Kenya’s Kids is a brand new organization currently being set up to help financially support Mabadiliko Care International, a charity which runs a primary school in one of the poorest suburbs of Mombasa, Kenya.
Mabadiliko Care International was founded by Jacob Muoga in 2004 and is recognized as a charity by the Kenyan government. Ambitious plans for the future include opening the school to more students, acquiring desks for all the classrooms (only 2 currently have them), building a boarding facility, and providing a health center focusing on tackling the HIV and AIDS epidemic in the area.
Most of the 249 students are orphans, HIV positive, often hungry and otherwise struggling to get by. The school provides its students, aged 3-13 years, a cooked lunch each day and for many it is their proper meal of the day.
