Project Hope Costa Rica
Dear Friend
How are you? Bendiciones para tu vida, God bless your life
For the past six years, I have been living in Costa Rica. Six years ago a new season started for me and this new life has been a blessing to me. I give thanks to God for the opportunity to serve my people in Costa Rica.
I have so much to tell you regarding the ministry! I will start by telling you that some time ago I started to work as a volunteer with a ministry with a Korean family. I have known this family since my time in Mercy Ships. They came to Costa Rica over six months ago and are studying Spanish. Their names are Young Jin, Sujin and their son. We are meeting every week planning ministry and our goal is to start a mobile dental clinic and health care education, while continuing ministry with the ladies and children of the poor areas. They have a vision as well of building churches in the rural areas of Costa Rica, of course working with the local church members.
Korean family this picture was taken last week, Director Giacomo Cogui YWAM S.J, Young Jin, Sujin and Kathia Montes
YWAM San Jose got a donation of an ambulance, and the Korean family has some equipment that was donated as well. Together with the two donations YWAM and Project Hope Costa Rica are going to start the mobile dental clinic for the rural areas. Our goal is to start a mobile dental clinic in the near future for the poor people. All this has to work with volunteers; volunteer doctors and nurses, and construction people. We will work together to establish a clinic made by the love of God.
One of these ambulances is for YWAM and they are going to let us use it for the mobile dental clinics
I am writing you with an open heart. As you can see our ministry is getting big and we have much more work. The past three months have been difficult for the ministry and have been blessed as well; God is so good to us. This new volunteer work has many goals. God has given me the opportunity to serve with love and kindness to all people around me, and that is the best blessing any Christian person can have.
Vision:
Our vision is to reach the poorest and most marginal areas in Costa Rica to offer the medical care, health care education, mobile dental clinics, general medicine, education, health care, also to teach preventative care.
Also we want to build a mobile unit that can travel to the disaster areas to provide immediate physical and spiritual assistance. We will work with and collaborate with the Red Cross national emergency committee and to extend an invitation to other people in other countries to join us in these projects.
The goal is to be part of YWAM San Jose. We will plan these projects to assure that they are carried out effectively, when the body of Christ work together the impact to the people is much better, the donations are in the way, so please pray that is not going to be any problems going though the borders.
Other project outside of the medical arena is to build a church for a community in a rural area. This church will be carefully selected. We’ll work with the local church members but we will need volunteers to come and help us to build the church.
Also I will start the 19th of this month a new ladies group, I will teach how to make chocolates for them to sell, will be teaching chocolates and pastries to 57 ladies and I need a total of $ 600 per month to start classes I need to buy all the materials for a period of classes, the ladies will be contribute with only $ 2 dollars per person, so I need to raise funds to provide the course with a donation for three months, my goal is by December they can sell products and make money for them families
I come to you noting my love for ministry, to serve all these people has been my life, and I am so thankfully for it, but I need support to continue with this job God has given me all these years.
