Women of Hope

Published by Admin

Dear Friends of the Women of Hope Project,

A little over a year ago, Women of Hope Project started a tent school for 200 children at Ben-e-Warsak, a refugee community just outside of Kabul. This Spring, WOHP started another tent school for 65 children living in a Kuchi refugee camp here in the heart of Kabul. This is a tent city, complete with pens for goats and cows the Kuchis care for to earn their meager living, surrounded by much newer buildings with “real” walls and glass windows.

WOHP has provided the tent for the school itself, school supplies including notebooks, pencils, and books for the children, carpets for the dirt floor and also supports the teacher’s monthly salary. Please help give the Afghan children a future for their generation – and generations to come – through education!

There is still much to be done. But with each child educated, that is one less person in this country who is illiterate. And that one person will then be able to teach another. Please consider how you can help this vital work with a monthly donation of $50 – $100.
Even in these current financial times, we still have so much more than the people of Afghanistan could ever hope to have. All monetary gifts to WOHP are tax deductible. Payments can be sent to WOHP, 4876-118 Princess Anne Road, #203, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, or via PayPal.
Thank you for helping us make a difference to the poorest of the poor in this country.
Blessings to you,
Betsy Beamon
