Minutes of Organizational Meeting of the HRO Board of Directors
The First Quarterly meeting was held on February 20, 2016 at the office of the Human Relief Organization. Olga Crupper acted as chairperson of the meeting and Bryan Landrum acted as Secretary. Also present were Joe Byers (by phone), Rev. Clinton Hardy, Chris Jacobson, Mario Comparini and Eva Francis.
• HRO’s Bread Program is ongoing thanks to Rev. Clinton Hardy
• HRO/International working in Costa Rica with Kathia Montez, HRO/International representative.
• Dr. Cecilia Wilkerson and her husband, the Rev. Clinton Hardy, run the JTC Life Changing Center in Newport News. The center offers free community programs including counseling, GED preparation and meals. Rev. Clinton Hardy continues to provide critical life changing support to youth and single parents to include personal counseling and motivational talks to help improve their quality of life. Rev. Hardy’s dedication continues to help spread the message around the Tidewater area. His ministry provides a positive outlook to ex-offenders and families throughout Hampton and the east end section of Newport News, VA through donations of furniture, beds and also computers.
• HRO discussed a fund raising event in Central America to support the launch of Project Hope “Joe Dome” Project. The project continues to make steady progress with government interest for construction in Central America (Panama and Guatemala). It is the goal that this project will provide humanitarian and educational support to families throughout Central America and will be a center of excellence in renewable energy technologies and sustainable, “Off-grid” design to the poor around the world.
Having no further issues to discuss, the board adjourned at 11: 29 am.
